General

The basics of how things work.

Can I visit the workshop?

Yes, but it's not walk-in retail. Message us or email first and we'll agree a time that suits, including some evenings and weekends. You get the bench to yourself, so we can talk through the spec or the fault properly instead of rushing. We don't run an online booking system, it's just a quick message.

Where are you based?

Drumcondra, Richmond Road, Dublin 3, D03 E3W9. There's no walk-in retail, so get in touch before you call round.

Can you help me decide what I need?

That is the whole point. Tell us what you will use the machine for and your budget, and we will recommend honestly, including where spending less makes no difference.

Do you ship outside Dublin?

Collection at the workshop is the default, and we encourage it for security and safety. We can also post anywhere in Ireland by An Post registered service, tracked, signed for and insured up to €2,500. Posting is at your own risk, so contact us first to arrange it. See the delivery page for details.

How long will you hold my finished build?

Once your system is built and paid for, we'll hold it ready for collection for 14 days from the date we tell you it's ready. If you can't make it in that window, just get in touch and we'll sort an alternative.

Builds

Prebuilt PCs, Signature builds, and going fully custom.

What's the difference between a Prebuilt PC and a Signature build?

A Prebuilt PC is a one-off, like a drop: a single machine already built and ready to collect, parts picked by us, often at a better price thanks to deals on the components. When it’s gone, it’s gone. A Signature build is from our standing lineup (Value, Gaming, Creator and Workstation): a fixed spec at a fixed price that we build on repeat. Sometimes one is on the bench ready to go; if not, we build yours to order once your deposit is in.

Can I customise a Signature build?

No, a Signature build is a fixed spec we build on repeat, parts chosen by us. If you want to change the parts, use the configurator to design your own from scratch and send it to us as an enquiry.

Do you build to a set budget?

Yes. Give us a number and we will get the most machine we can for it, then tell you plainly where adding or saving a little changes the result.

AMD or Intel, Nvidia or AMD?

We build with all of them and have no brand bias. The recommendation comes from your workload, your budget and current value, not from what we would rather sell.

Will I get the exact brand shown in the configurator?

Not always. Exact brands and models can vary with component availability, and if a listed part is out of stock when we build, we substitute the closest equivalent, matching the specification or better, never a downgrade. Configurator prices include a margin to account for this, so treat the total as a guide rather than a fixed figure. It typically runs slightly higher than the price you're ultimately quoted.

Can I bring my own parts and have you build it?

Yes, absolutely. We charge a fixed labour fee of €150 to €200 depending on the parts, and we confirm the price before any work starts.

Will you check my parts are compatible first?

Yes. Before any work gets started we check that all your parts are compatible with each other, and we flag anything that is not a good fit.

Is there a warranty if I supply my own parts?

No. There is no warranty on a build made from parts you supply. Each part keeps its own manufacturer warranty, but our 1-year labour warranty only applies to systems built with parts we supply.

Does the machine come ready to use?

Yes. It arrives with the operating system installed and updated and all drivers configured, so you switch it on and go. Tell us if you prefer Windows or Linux.

What's the typical turnaround?

A custom build, or a Signature build we have to make to order, takes 5 to 10 days from order to collection. A Prebuilt PC, or a Signature build that happens to be on the bench, is ready immediately.

Payment

How the deposit works, and paying the balance.

How do I pay?

A €200 deposit by card via Revolut, whether you are reserving a ready-to-collect prebuilt or a Signature build. It is credited in full toward the price. Card payments are handled by Revolut; we never see or store your card details.

Is there a deposit?

Yes. A flat €200 reserves your exact unit or build. We do not currently take full payment online.

What about a fully custom configuration?

Use the configurator as a guide to spec and price, then send it to us as an enquiry. We confirm stock and turnaround by email before anything is charged.

How do I pay the balance?

On collection at the workshop, or we will arrange it with you when we ship your order.

Repairs & upgrades

What to expect if something's gone wrong, or you want more from the machine you have.

Do you only fix PCs you built?

Not at all. We repair and upgrade any desktop PC, whoever built it, including pre-builts and other custom machines.

Can you upgrade my current PC?

Usually yes. A new GPU, more memory, faster storage, better cooling or a clean install can add years to a machine. We will tell you honestly when an upgrade is worth it and when it is not.

What about my data?

We treat your data carefully and will always talk through backups before any work that could affect storage. Data migration to a new machine is available as part of most jobs.

How long do repairs take?

Most repairs take 2 to 5 days, depending on parts availability. Diagnostics are usually same-day.

Warranty

Every system we build comes with our own labour warranty, on top of your statutory rights.

1-year labour warrantyFor 12 months from collection, all diagnostic and repair labour on a system we built is free of charge. We'll do everything we physically can to put it right.
ComponentsCovered by each manufacturer's own warranty (these vary by part). If a covered part fails, we manage the manufacturer claim for you and fit the replacement at no labour charge within your 12-month period.
On top of your legal rightsThis is an extra benefit, it doesn't replace your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 we remain responsible to you for faulty goods for up to six years; you don't have to deal with the manufacturer yourself.
Not coveredAccidental or liquid damage, misuse, unauthorised modification or opening, overclocking beyond the spec we supplied, software/virus issues, parts you supplied yourself, and normal wear and tear.
Your dataPlease keep your own backups, we're not liable for data loss, so back up before any repair or upgrade.
